Photo's of my July 2006 attempted hike to the summit of Mt. Whitney from the Whitney portal on the eastern side of the Sierras. I did not make the summit. To add insult to injury, I did not make is as far as my last attempt in 2000. In 2000, I made it to Trail Crest at 13,600'. This time I only made it to High Camp at 12,100'.

The interesting tid bit which BarbaraAnn pointed out was that after my 2000 hike, I was in a serious car accident that put me in the hospital. In 2006 after my second Whitney hike, I again was in a car accident that put me in the hospital.

Is the mountain trying to tell me something?
