Ayers > Just another shot of the corner of the room with the first color scheme.

Ayers > I decided that I did not like the blue color scheme. Since the original color was a baby puke blue, I wanted to go with something different. SInce I was stripping and refinishing the woodwork, I want something that would go with the new trim. I decided to try the Sherwin Williams "hubbard squash". I had tried it before and thought it was too "yellow" but gave it another try here. I liked it much better and it changed the feel of the room. I used "indian white" on the ceiling.

The baseboards are still un-finished. I've done most of the work but there is still some touch up work to do on the baseboards. I did find that the baseboards originally had some shoe mouldings. You can still see paint where the shoe moulding was originally and in some of the other areas on the baseboards. I'll probably replace the shoe moulding when I redo the floors.

Ayers > The double hung windows finished. I stripped all the paint from the winodws and hardware, redid the ropes and wieghts, and installed spring bronze weather stripping. I can't say they're good as new but they are much better than they were. They still show some of the wear and tear over the years.
