This is the opposite wall. I had noticed that there were vertical seams showing under the paint on this wall. I dug under the seam and discovered that not only had the wall paper been painted but also skim coated with some drywall texture. This is the stripping of that mess.
Notice the original paint colors on the wall. These were the colors that were applied directly to the plaster so it seems to have been the first paint on the wall. Also you can see where the original picture rail was inline with the top of the windows and door
