Ayers > Back service porch when I moved in. Security was ltching the funky lath on the screen door. No other locks on the rear of the house.
Ayers > Laundry area was created by a false wall dividing the service porch into a service area and the room on the other side of the wall. When I demo'd this wall there was evidence of that the false wall once had a door.
Ayers > This is the portion of the back porch that was partitioned off to create a closet. This shot is into the old closet, The wood panels in the back are were windows were installed originally. The were later restored.
Ayers > This is the other false wall/partition wall in the back porch. The wall created a closet in part of the service porch. The closet is on the other side of the false wall
Ayers > Slightly different angle showing the windows on the back porch and the closet false wall
Ayers > Here is the closet wall with the wall removed and windows restored. Now there is a lot of light coming in
Ayers > Newly installed wood windows where the closet had been created from the false walls
Ayers > Still have paint and other touch up to do as well as some organizational tasks.
Ayers > This is the other (west) end of the back part of the house. I removed an acoustic ceiling, drywall & paneling that was over the shingles and several layers of flooring. Drywall was hung over the original shingles. Carpeting was on top of some vinyl floor on plywood. Original T&G fir floor exposed for the first time in over 40 years.
